All sawn wood hull with transverse wood angle and "I" beam steel framing. Outer plank thickness is approx. 6". Inner plank thickness is approx. 4". Sawn wood frames doubled 6" x 6" on 22" centers. Steel "I" beam frames 12" x 3 1/2" x 1/2" on 15 foot centers. Ice sheathing of 1" thickness. Engine bed and engine room webbing is of heavy steel construction.
